JIN AKANISHI “THANK YOU” TOUR 2019 Announcement
2019.03.04
We would like to start this announcement by first thanking every one of Jin’s fans for their incredible support.
A few days prior to this Announcement, Jin started to experience back pain, and was taken to the hospital to be examined, and was diagnosed with “Degenerative Lumbar Spondylolisthesis”.
Due to the injury, the current performance capability of Jin could cause incompletion of the current show composition.
Based on the guidance of his doctor, as well as consultations with top-level staff, other various related parties, and out of respect for Jin’s wishes to perform for years come, we wanted him to focus on achieving full recovery for the time being. Therefore, we have reached the difficult decision that we are going to make drastic amendments to all 18 shows of the live tour, scheduled to start from April 6th.
To all the fans that were looking forward to the performance, we sincerely apologize and promise to do our best to remedy this situation in a smooth and satisfactory manner for all.
Jin also mentioned that he can take advantage of this situation to do something that he has been wanting to do, and he is currently working to recreate the show in a more appropriate manner, with all things taken into consideration.
Even though there is no live appearance of Jin, Jin believes that he could make something amazing in lieu of the tour.
As the performance is changing, Any customer who purchased any advanced tickets, or general tickets for the Saitama performance is able to claim a refund. Details of alternate performances and refund methods are currently being formulated, and we will be sure to update you again via the official website and other channels, once the process has been confirmed. We ask for your patience and understanding during this difficult situation.
Jin will be addressing members of his fan club via a video, and be offering his fans information on how he is currently re-working the show and his thoughts.
We offer our most sincere apologies to our fans, and stakeholders for the inconvenience. Thank you all again for your tremendous support.
